THE COMPANY
Steelcore (I. Golfinopoulos E.E.) has been active for more than 20 years in the construction of steel frame buildings using innovative building systems in Greece and abroad. It was one of the first companies to introduce in Greece the construction of residential buildings with the light steel framing system, an innovative way of erecting high strength buildings with low weight. Through the cooperation with companies and institutions of the sector from abroad, it has high technical know-how and provides modern solutions to technical issues.
The team consists of engineers with specialized knowledge and experience in matters of design and analysis of metal constructions, designers and foremen-artisans with the appropriate specialization and experience in the field of metal constructions.

Steelcore is housed in a privately owned building on Avenue A. Papandreou in Patras (exit at the Obria intersection of the ring road). It has covered processing and storage areas with an area of 1,500m2 and office areas with an area of 170m2

THE PEOPLE
“Ioannis Golfinopoulos O.E.” was founded in 1980, with a long successful course in the field of retail-wholesale trade and with an emphasis on logistics services. In 2001, the youngest partner, Konstantinos I. Golfinopoulos, founder of today’s Steelcore, realized the need to integrate new technologies in construction and successfully brought to the Greek market the first constructions of residential buildings using light steel cross-sections.
It is now a belief that the Core of modern construction is Steel – and thus Steelcore is born.

INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION
Steelcore follows technical developments closely: it is an active member of a platform, in which institutes and universities participate with the aim of immediately transferring new know-how and providing innovative solutions to technical issues.
It actively participates in pan-European conferences and workshops organized by the LSK-European Light Steel Construction Association and the SFA Steel Framing Alliance together with all leading manufacturers and material suppliers.
He collaborates steadily with the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Patras and the Department of Metal Structures of the University of Karlsruhe, Germany.
